Nursing Home Abuse & Neglect Resource Center

Providing Resources for Families With Loved Ones Living in Nursing Homes & Care Centers

When a parent or family member requires the care and assistance of a nursing home or assisted living facility, we trust that they will be given the care necessary to keep them safe and secure. Unfortunately, this does not always happen. When measures are not taken to ensure their wellbeing and safety, loved ones can become the victim of unwanted abuse and neglect.

As Michigan nursing home injury and abuse lawyers we fight to make sure that residents of nursing home and care facilities are cared for and kept free from harm.

Fighting for the rights of our clients requires dedication. As Detroit nursing home abuse lawyers, we are committed to using all legal and investigative resources necessary to develop claims of abuse and neglect. Together with medical and other experts, we build and develop the case for our clients.

If you suspect that your loved one has been the victim of abuse or neglect in a nursing home or care facility, call us. Once we have learned about your situation we can explain the best options available.

Selecting a nursing home or care facility for a loved one is not an easy task and should not be based solely on your tour with the admissions representative. Take the time to tour the facility on your own and take note of what is going on: Are the residents engaged or simply sitting around in a circle? Does the facility smell clean or does it smell of urine? Is the nursing staff standing around at the nurses’ station, or are they engaging with residents?

If possible, speak to the families of residents to find out more about the facility, and be sure to check your local government records for any health violation or legal infractions the facility may have.

Do I Have a Case?

Once we have an opportunity to learn about your case, we will explain your options to you. If we agree to pursue your case, we will do so on a contingency fee basis. This means that you will not owe us any attorney fees unless you win.
