Jacqueline Liu, RN, BSN, earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Oakland University in Rochester, Michigan. She has practiced as a Registered Nurse for over three decades, working at various facilities, including intensive care units, crisis facilities, psychiatric wards, nursing homes, and residential facilities that treat mentally ill individuals with substance use disorders.
A critical element of personal injury cases is determining who is at-fault for an injury or illness. To assist in making this determination, Ms. Liu thoroughly reviews medical, surgical, long-term acute care, sub-acute rehabilitation, and behavioral health records of injured victims and conducts detailed interviews. Once she completes a comprehensive nursing assessment, she provides an expert medical opinion to our Michigan personal injury attorneys regarding what may have caused or exacerbated an injury. Her insight allows our attorneys to make well-informed decisions backed by medical science and decades of healthcare experience.
While working for the Board of Nursing as a case manager for nurses with substance abuse issues, her interest in medical negligence and personal injury law was peaked. Ms. Liu subsequently developed a passion for conducting research to understand victims’ unique conditions and needs, as she recognized that failure to meet such needs was often the cause of catastrophic injuries, disorders, and fatalities. Currently, her dedication and keen investigatory techniques help our team build strong and persuasive cases for maximum compensation for victims across Michigan.
How I Serve Clients
Through my work with the developmentally disabled, those with substance abuse issues, the elderly, and the critically injured, I have witnessed the devastating ramifications that individuals can suffer when other parties are negligent or reckless. From medical personnel failing to uphold proper standards of care and nursing home abuse to birth injuries and sexual assaults, the life of an individual and their family can be devastatingly impacted in an instant.
After over two decades of working in a variety of medical fields, including intensive care, behavioral health, utilization review, substance abuse treatment, and geriatric care, I dedicated my work to helping victims whose lives are turned upside down by catastrophic injuries or the death of a loved one. In pursuit of this goal, I understand the nuances involved in personal injury matters, and I use this knowledge to help victims and their families tenaciously fight for the justice they deserve.
