Donna MacKenzie was awarded the Evelyn Forrest Respected Advocate Award from the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan – Oakland | Women’s Bar Association. The Evelyn Forrest Respected Advocate Award was named after the inaugural president of the Women’s Bar Association. It is given annually to a woman in the legal profession who best serves and represents her clients.
The award was presented to MacKenzie during the WBA’s virtual annual meeting on May 28, 2020.
“Words cannot express how honored I am to have received this award,” said MacKenzie. “The women in this organization are incredibly inspiring and empowering, and I will be eternally grateful for their support.”
MacKenzie was the 100th president of the Women Lawyers Association of Michigan. She is also the incoming president of the Michigan Association for Justice and incoming chair of the Nursing Home Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice.
MacKenzie is a partner at Olsman MacKenzie Peacock & Wallace. Her practice is focused on representing victims of nursing home abuse and neglect, medical malpractice and sexual assault.
